The Venue :

The current building designed by local architects "Birkin-Haward" is a geodesic "dome" (from which it takes its name). It was built specifically for the Britannia club thus providing a purpose built facility.

The dome shape enables generous headroom to give a maximum possible playing area with high mounted specialised two per table lighting along with additional perimeter fluorescent tubes.

With a series of permanently fixed net dividers, the playing area can be divided into numerous configurations to accommodate differing layouts from two to four tables for match play, and five tables for social play.

All available configurations conform to   etta 4*   court standards, and drawing back all the net dividers produces a single table layout meeting International court dimension requirements.

The tables used are all of a high quality, mostly Donic Roll-away brand, and all are fitted with high quality nets.

The club has a policy of replacing tables on a regular basis to ensure high quality equipment standards are maintained.

There are also kitchen, shower and parking facilities available, albeit that these are somewhat limited.
